Abstract
Today’s mobile society makes it imperative that organizations of all types & sizes provide their content in a myriad of formats. This phenomenon brings huge challenges when creating flexible content has not been part of the overall strategy to date. When faced with this challenge many teams are overwhelmed by the idea of converting years of legacy data.
This workshop will identify & address the issues & processes surrounding legacy conversion & provide a step-by-step approach to handling them. The agenda will include ideas such as what to convert, how to prepare your content, amass the appropriate team, apply various approaches, avoid the typical pitfalls, build a business case for management & so on. Linda Morone, Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing — responsible for overseeing all of DCL's sales and marketing activities. Linda focuses her attention on helping clients organize & convert their content to electronic documents, populate databases, and publish on the web, while establishing and developing strategic partnerships across industries. Linda joined the DCL team in the spring of 2011, bringing with her 25 years of experience in managing the sales efforts of digital media, web-based solutiowons, technology, and data content management services.
Rhonda Wainwright, National Sales Director, is responsible for sales of DCL’s data conversion, quality assurance, and other professional services to the global marketplace. With more than 20 years’ experience in the fields of electronic publishing and content management, her career has included production, technical, management, and sales roles at organizations serving the publishing needs of aerospace, defense, and other technical publishers.
